I went home for Easter, back to ma's house and wanted to show off some of my bakin' skills so I had a little fun with this!
I have read some good stuff about 'cake pops' so I had to try them and see for myself what they really taste like so what better time than Easter to make these treats!? I made some easter egg cake pops as well as some chocolate dipped peep bunnies and let me tell you, it was not as easy as I thought it would be! Here are my cute little bunnies after their dip in the chocolate pool!
After they dried completely I took edible markers and drew some faces on these little guys :) I don't have pictures of the easter egg cake pops which I know, shame on me but I do have a picture of the final product!
I wrapped them up in cute little easter bags and plopped um all in an easter basket! Heres a little closer look for ya...
I was a bit nervous at how chocolate dipped peeps would taste, and how others would react to them but I was pleased to have gotten comments on how cute and yummy they were! Oh yeah, my cake pops were a mega hit too! ( i used french vanilla cake mix and chocolate frosting, kinda tasted like a chocolate dipped brownie!)
Next, I made some what I like to call, drum roll please.....!!!!....Chocolate Chip Surprise Cupcakes with cream cheese buttercream frosting. These are to die for!! This is the 2nd time I have made these since finding this recipe and you cannot stop after just one! Here is what they look like before frosting..
YUMM!! Wouldn't you say? Now for my frosted ones. I was not too impressed with my decorating job but I was in a bit of a hurry so I will let it slide for now, until next time..
Sprinkles and candy corn did these cupcakes right :) Until next time, keep bakin!
